Day 1:
Upon arrival in
Cairo
our representative who will assist you through passport control formalities, luggage identification & portage will greet you. Transfer from the airport via private A/C car or mini-bus to your hotel for check in and overnight.
Day 2:
Today starts with a guided tour in Giza to visit the legendary majestic
Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerionos
to view these spectacular man-made monuments.
Afterwards a tour of the great Sphinx; guarding the Royal Burial Chambers and temple of Cheops. Return to hotel and overnight in Cairo.
Day 3:
Today starts with a drive through the Western desert
to the Oasis of Bahariya. Visit natural springs and a Bedouin dinner in Bier El Ghaba. Overnight in camp.
Day 4:
Continue exploring in the Western desert
Safari - visit the Black mountain, Crystal mountain and White desert.
Overnight in camp in White desert.
Day 5:
Continue exploring in the Western desert
Safari
- drive to Dakhla Oasis, stopping at
Farafra Oasis to visit the
Bader museum and old city of
El Qaser.
In the afternoon arrive in
Dakhla Oasis and check in to hotel. Remainder of the day free for leisure and independent activities. Overnight in Dakhla.
Day 6:
Continue exploring in the Western desert
Safari
- drive to Kharga Oasis, stopping along the way to visit
Deir El Hagar.
In the afternoon arrive in
Kharga. Remainder of the day free for leisure and independent activities. Overnight in camp in Kharga.
Day 7:
Continue driving toward
Luxor
stopping along the way to visit the
temple of Hibis, Bagawat and the fascinating mud brick necropolis dating back to the 4th century.
In the afternoon arrive in Luxor and check in to hotel. Remainder of the day free for leisure and independent activities. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 8:
Transfer to Nile cruise ship before lunch - your home for the next five days. In the afternoon visit to
Karnak and the Luxor Temples. Overnight onboard in Luxor.
Day 9:
Today starts with a visit to the West Bank
including the two mammoth statues of Amenophis II at the Colossi of
Memnon; Queen Hatshepsut Temple, the Tomb of Tut Ankh Amoun and the "City of Dead" -
Valley of Kings. Overnight onboard in Luxor.
Day 10:
Sail to Esna
and cross the locks. Continue sailing to Edfu. In Edfu visit the Temple of
Horus. Continue sailing toward Kom Ombo. In Kom Ombo visit the temple dedicated to Sobek the Crocodile God and Haroeris the winged God. Continue sailing to Aswan. Overnight onboard in Aswan.
Day 11:
The day starts with a visit to the High Dam and the Temple of Philae. Then board a
Nile felucca boat and sail and view
Elephantine Island by felucca boat & visit the
Agha Khan Mausoleum. Overnight onboard in Aswan.
Day 12:
Breakfast and disembarkation. The day starts with a visit to the Unfinished Obelisk. Afternoon we will transfer you to the train station to catch the first class sitting train to Cairo, overnight in the train.
Day 13:
Arrive early morning in
Cairo
and check in to hotel. The remainder of the day is free for leisure and independent activities or last minute shopping. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 14:
Breakfast and check out of hotel. Assisted transfer to Cairo International airport for final departure.
